I agree. My RN friend who worked his whole career in the ED says it's the cardiac drugs given during a code that cause it. But there have been people who had that same experience and there wasn't an EMT or medic anywhere to be found.

I've held the hands of the dying enough to realize that in the end, the vast majority have gone quietly and with peace.
