I. — a trained nurse — am not even required to perform CPR on another human if I do not want to. I can — in fact — stop — any time the physical effort taxes my own well being too greatly. I can — by law — let anyone die. Even though I possess the skill to perhaps save them. My choice. Why is my own body the only body conservative politics believe I have no right to make this kind of determination about? According to them. I MUST ALWAYS CHOOSE TO SAVE ANOTHER EVEN AT THE COST OF MY OWN LIFE. No where in anyplace in our society is this “choice” ever mandated. By physicians — nurses — law enforcement- first responders. Professional Life Savers. It. Is. Insane.
