Exactly. But society has trouble believing women. I remember when Clarence Thomas was being vetted for the SCOTUS. A woman came forward & gave testimony, no one believed her. And thus — it reinforced the message that it’s perfectly ok to victim-blame. And certainly, it’s the preferable option of choice for men in power.

Everyone asks — Why didn’t you report it? Because no one will listen anyway & even if they did — they would tell me that it was my own fault.
