Building The True

“Our next life will always cost us this one.” — Glennon Doyle

I am particularly fond of this quote. I came across it in the new book I’m reading. A drastic deviation from my Magical Fiction leanings. “Untamed” by Glennon Doyle is completely full of great insights. The Universe will send you just what you need. Every single time.

And I needed to read this book.

As all our lives are, Glennon’s book is full of moments that make up a life. Decisions, revelations, lessons that change the course of the life we charted. It’s also about letting go of some of those things from our past. Decisions, revelations, lessons that keep us caged into a life that no longer fits us.

When you stop listening to the lies we were taught to tell ourselves — you cannot help but transform. The True will demand to be built. And it always comes at a price.

For many women, this point in time comes in mid-life. The domesticating effect of estrogen wanes and we simply cannot stand to stay in a false narrative. Our Happiness becomes important. Our name moves up on the list. Mother Nature shakes us until we own up to the lie and seek to build The True.

What lie have you been telling yourself for too long?

What do you need to let go of to build The True?

Can you afford the cost of your next life?

And most importantly, can you really afford NOT to have your next life?

Namaste.
